I’ll Show You The One Thing Only I Can See
2014, ongoing, coloured pencil on photo, archival ink on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag Bright, 19.25 x 26 in (image 13.25 x 20 in)
In I’ll Show You The One Thing Only I Can See, pristine landscapes have been marred with depictions of the flaws in the artist's vision. To communicate his singular viewpoint, the artist pins down and reveals his defects as faithfully as possible. These defects appear as floating squiggles and refer to elusive, phantom forms that are visible to no one but the artist.
